BBidDesk

Estimating and proposal desk for commercial contractors

From rough field notes to a priced proposal in one sitting.

The coordinator seat reads the tech's note, prices the material, and writes the bid. BidDesk runs that desk on three sample jobs and downloads the PDF.

The desk, then and now

The old way

  • A day or two between the site walk and a number the customer can sign
  • The note gets retyped into a spreadsheet
  • A missed supplier price or a bad labor hour sinks the margin
  • The bid goes out after the deadline
  • A coordinator seat often costs about $75k a year

The BidDesk way

  • The field note is the starting point, not a second data entry job
  • The bill of materials is priced from a catalog
  • The margin is a rule, not a cell someone overwrites
  • The PDF is ready for the estimating manager to check
  • The sample desk on this page does that with three jobs

Live sample desk

Three priced jobs. The steps are a timed preview. The PDF uses the sample catalog, not a model reading your file.

How the desk runs

  1. 01

    Field capture

The tech sends the note, a photo, or a voice transcript from the job. On this page that note is a sample you can read.

  2. 02

    Price the work

BidDesk lines up quantities against the price book and applies the margin rule. The samples use a catalog stored in the browser.

  3. 03

    Review and send

The estimating manager checks the total, downloads the PDF, and sends it. Open tracking and e-sign are not on this page.

Illustration, not a forecast

Hours use 2.5 hours of desk time per proposal. The dollar line assumes one bid in twelve is late. Change the sliders to see the arithmetic. It is not your result.
